In the last few weeks....

So many memories in the last month!! Thank you all for praying for me - I was able to survive and enjoy the tournaments, and the weakness and allergic reaction were soon gone. March 5-8 I went to an amazing National Open in Illinois - quite the experience, and I was very grateful to have the opportunity of competing at an Open again.  Not only did the rounds and results go very well, I met new people, spent time with my dear friends, and saw God's hand keeping me strong and able to compete. The following pictures are a few of my favorites from that week....

The following week, Laurel, Mama and I went to the New Jersey Qualifier! So many friends (as well as Laurel) ranked really well, and it was a privilege to see their excitement. Here are a couple shots from that week.

From March 21-24, CT had its 3rd qualifier - SHINE. Since we live close by, two families got to come stay with us for the week! It was a blast and we had an amazing time. Neat to see my big sister in TP Finals. And then she won Extemp! I followed her around with a camera, video taping her speeches and debate round clips, and taking lots of pictures ~ it was her last NCFCA qualifier...hard to imagine.
Here are some pictures from throughout the tournament....

My beautiful sister, Laurel......love this picture.

So - these last few weeks have been quite something. Lots of joyful, smiling, happy, sweet moments, and lots of memories! Thanks to all who made these tournaments a success! NCFCA is an outstanding gift, and Reg10n especially holds a special place in my heart.

Delighting in the flowers!

Just like every year at this time, I have been enjoying the first flowers of spring! Not only are they beautiful in person, they're some of my favorite things to take pictures of (probably because they hold so still! lol). The first two pictures are crocuses from our yard, and the second two are of some flowers outside the latest tournament facility. Hope you are enjoying the lovely weather and nature as well!
