DRAGON

    For several weeks now, Emma has been entreating me to post pictures of her favorite horse.  In honor of her birthday today, here are the following pictures of her dear Dragon, taken the day they ranked first place in her second horse show ever (in a class judged entirely on the rider no less - talented much?). It's an incredible thing to see their bond, so vividly portrayed even in still photos.

Today may have been August 14th, but at a breezy seventy degrees it felt like one of those perfect spring days.  In a life swamped with work, daunted by upper level education, and still saddened from the loss of my dear NCFCA, a day like this was exactly what I needed. The combination of sunshine, cool wind, my sister and my camera is a source of cheer that never fails. How grateful I am for a God who knows and understands the burdens of ME, one girl so insignificant in the grand scheme of things.
